Robasciotti & Philipson – What’s in a Name?

As of January 1, 2016, Robasciotti & Associates, Inc. officially changed its name to Robasciotti & Philipson. This opens a new chapter for the firm and officially recognizes both Rachel Robasciotti and Maya Philipson as its principals. But this is more than just a name change. Along with the name, Robasciotti & Philipson also debuted a new logo, updated website, social media presence, new staff, a new investment management fee structure, and an online client portal. While the firm’s mission remains the same, we are excited to show a new face to the world and make it easier for clients to work with us.

Values

Of course, while the name change is significant for us, it is also important to note that nothing about the company’s mission has changed. The values that make Robasciotti & Philipson unique – personalized wealth management based on a comprehensive view of clients’ lives and needs – will never change. Rachel, Maya, and everyone at the firm remain committed to providing the same comprehensive, independent, and client-focused services that especially accommodate women and the LGBTQ community at which they have excelled for nearly 12 years.

Since the beginning of the firm in 2004, Robasciotti & Associates, Inc., and now Robasciotti & Philipson have always treated clients as people rather than account holders. By listening, educating, and advising, our wealth managers help clients use money as a tool to support their larger life goals, not just their financial ones. The firm has also been an invaluable resource for women and the LGBTQ community, who make up the majority of our clients, because of the specialized experience and insight we offer. As members of these communities, Rachel and Maya bring more than just knowledge and experience to advising; they bring understanding. And as Robasciotti & Philipson starts a new chapter in its history, it also redoubles its dedication to supporting women and the LGBTQ community.

Client Portal

While no services have changed, Robasciotti & Philipson has implemented a new way of collaborating with its clients using an online portal. This portal allows clients to:

securely access documents
send and receive secure emails
schedule appointments
update financial information prior to meetings
By having a home on the firm’s new website and providing so much functionality, it helps everyone work more easily and efficiently, with access from any computer or mobile device.

Lower Investment Fees

As of January 1, Robasciotti & Philipson now has lower investment management fees. Assets between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 will now pay only 1.00% per year for investment management services. While the firm already provides services above and beyond standard wealth managers, which take more thoughtful time and effort, this fee reduction simply represents what Rachel and Maya feel is fair and in the best interest of their clients. Clients don’t have to do anything to get the new rate and will see it reflected in the fee report they receive in January.
