Shannon Blackmon, CFP ®
Shannon Blackmon works directly with Robasciotti & Philipson’s wealth management clients and is the primary point of contact for coordinating their financial consulting and investment needs. One of Shannon’s primary responsibilities is guiding new clients through the firm’s comprehensive wealth management process, where her exemplary skill at providing clients with insights into cash flow, net worth, risk management, insurance, and investments is most evident. She assists clients in preparing for their meetings and provides advice that helps them clarify, prioritize, and achieve their goals. Shannon finds her work most rewarding when she engages with clients to help them make intentional choices around their philanthropic and social impact goals.
Shannon began her career at Robasciotti & Philipson in 2015 as a Financial Planning Intern. At the time, she wasn’t looking for an internship. However, she was drawn to Robasciotti & Philipson because she wanted to be part of a woman-owned, progressive, independent firm and she felt inspired by the firm’s representation in communities of color. Her talent, intelligence, and warmth were immediately recognized as an asset and she was quickly promoted to the role of Client Service Associate. When she earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2017 she was again promoted to become an Associate Wealth Manager.
Shannon earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona and her Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University. Prior to joining Robasciotti & Philipson, Shannon worked for over a decade in the financial services industry at several smaller independent brokerage firms and New England Financial, where she obtained the Series 7 (General Securities Representative Examination) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) licenses.
She recently served on the board of directors for the League of Women Voters of West Contra Costa County and is an avid yoga practitioner. Shannon lives in Hercules with her husband and three children.
